David Alton MacGregor was the son of Frank E. and Emma Mae MacGregor, of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He served in the 35 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flying Officer during World War II. He was declared Missing in Action on January 22, 1944, when his Lancaster aircraft # LV 787 failed to return from a night trip to Magdeburg, Germany. His body was never recovered.
