Harry Francis MacArthur was born on June 27, 1920, in Framingham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Henry F. MacArthur and Myrtle M. MacArthur.
Harry served in the #22 Operational Training Unit of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Sergeant during World War II. He was declared Missing in Action on September 14, 1942, when his Wellington aircraft #R 1588 was shot down off Denmark, during an attack against Bremen, Germany. His airplane crashed into the North Sea and his body was never recovered.
