Glen Edwin Lewis was born on February 25, 1918, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was the son of Stirling and Alice Lewis of St. Louis, Missouri.
Glen served in the 432 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II. He was killed on July 4, 1943, when his Wellington X HE630, which took off at 22h44 from RAF Skipton-on-Swale, was returning from the target, ran out of fuel and crashed into a house near Henhurst in Gravesend, England.
