Preston St Clair Legge, of Norfolk, Massachusetts, was born on September 30, 1922, in New Ross, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was the husband of Christina C. Legge.
Preston served in the #434 Bluenose Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Pilot Officer during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 13, 1944, when his Halifax aircraft #MZ 293, which took off at 23h08 at RAF Croft, England, was shot down by Oblt Drünkler's hunter from I./NJG5 during a mission to attack the communication lines in Arras, France.
