Robert Eugene Allison was born on May 28, 1926, in Pinal County, Arizona. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps on July 3, 1943. He received training at Camp Elliot, San Diego, California. In Jan 1944, he was with the 41st Replacement Battalion. By April 1944, Robert was a Private First Class serving with Company A, 1st Armored Amphibious Battalion, III Amphibious Corps. Robert was killed in action while disembarking from LST #446 at Guam on July 21, 1944. He received shell wounds to his chest. He was initially interred in the Army, Navy, and Marine Cemetery #2 on Guam.
