Waldo Bertrand Adams was born on June 22, 1913, in Hollis, Harmon County, Oklahoma. He was the son of Wilburn B. Adams and Minnie Belle White Adams. He was the husband of Margaret Rachel "Ruth" Hill Thompson.
Waldo served in Company I, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 23, 1944, during the Battle for Guam, and is now buried in the De Leon Cemetery, De Leon, Comanche County, Texas, USA.
