Donald Arthur Ivers, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, was born on July 18, 1916. He was the son of John Henry and Yvonne Ivers; husband of Sally R. Platt Ivers, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Donald served in the 10 (R.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Sergeant during World War II. He was declared Killed in Action on October 1, 1942, when his Halifax II DT520 aircraft failed to return from an operational flight over Flensburg, Germany.
