Ralph Frithjaf Hillman was born on October 31, 1918, in Canada. He was the son of John and Olga Hillman, of Tacoma, Washington.
Ralph served in the #576 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 5, 1944, when his Lancaster aircraft # LM 532, which took off at 22h17 from RAF Elsham Woods, England, was shot down at St. Cyr-en-Val, France, on their mission to attack the railway tracks at Orleans, France.
