Werner Charles Hencke, Jr. was the son of Werner C. Hencke Sr. and Katherine Pearl Beeson Hencke. He served in the #428 Ghost Squadron (Usque Ad Finem) of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He was Killed in Action on April 27, 1943, when his Wellington X HZ365, which took off at 00h25 from RAF Dalton, England, crashed at Dülmen, Germany.
