Joseph Michael Healey was born in 1910 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Thomas R. Healey and Catherine Healey.
Joseph served in the #1666 Heavy Conversion Unit of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He was killed on February 29, 1944, when his Halifax aircraft #JD 386 fell out of the clouds, out of control, and crashed at Bridge Farm, near Bronhton, Yorkshire.
