Gregory Manuel Georges was born on June 18, 1922, in Whitman, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Angelo Georges and Angelina E. Burrows Georges.
Gregory served in the 101 (R.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Sergeant during World War II. On December 17, 1942, aboard the Lancaster I W4319, his crew took off from Holme-on-Spalding Moor on a mine-laying operation. Shot down by friendly anti-aircraft fire, he was killed while coasting in at Redcar, England, returning to base.
