Francis Campbell Garnett, of Madison, Wisconsin, was born on April 6, 1921, in China. He was the son of Arthur Campbell Garnett and Margaret Elsie Garnett.
Francis served in the #405 City of Vancouver Squadron (Ducimus) of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II. A crew member on the Wellington aircraft #Z 8428, he was presumed dead on March 10, 1942, after their mission in Essen, Germany. The crew sent an SOS while they were over the North Sea and that was the last that was ever heard from them.
