Bruce Gregory Foley was born on January 1, 1919, in the District of Columbia. He was the son of Thomas Madden Foley and Olga Louise Gathmann Foley.
Bruce served in the #77 Squadron (Esse Potius Quam Videri) of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flying Officer (Nav.) during World War II. He was Killed in Action on October 3, 1943, when his Halifax aircraft #DT 807 was shot down over Wernswig, Germany during night operations to Kassel, Germany.
