George Edward Cronk was born on January 17, 1921, in Brantford, Brant County Municipality, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of John Benjamin and Esther Cronk, of Hollywood, California.
George served in the 425 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Pilot Officer during World War II. He was presumed dead on December 7, 1942, when his Wellington aircraft went missing over the Sea of Biscay.
His name is listed on the Runnymede Memorial and has a cenotaph in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, California.
