Verle Edmond Cline was born on January 25, 1924, in Alberta, Canada. He was the son of James Edmond and Audrea Loraine Cline, of Willows, California.
Verle served in the #1653 Heavy Conversion Unit of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Sergeant during World War II. A crew member of Lancaster aircraft # IM 719, they were engaged in a cross-country navigational exercise on April 28, 1945, when they crashed at South Stoke, Reading, Berkshire, England. Sgt Cline was killed in this incident.
