Patrick Kelly Chambers, of Long Beach, California, was born on October 19, 1918, in Chesterville, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of George Thomas and Mary Ellen (nee Keely) Chambers, of Chesterville, Ontario.

Patrick served in the 432 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Warrant Officer II during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 4, 1943, when the Wellington aircraft # HZ 481 he was piloting was shot down at St. Pound, Belgium, during a night trip to Cologne, Germany.
