Robert Melville Burlinson was born on July 2, 1918, in Brighton, England. He was the son of Maurice A. and Margaret Burlinson, of Tucson, Arizona, United States.
Robert served in the 88 (R.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Pilot Officer during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 18, 1941, when his Blenheim aircraft was shot down in the sea during a bombing operation.
