Robert Weaver Burke was born on August 31, 1917, in Washington, USA. He was the son of Ray Palmer Burke and Luella May Weaver Burke.
Robert served in the 419 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flying Officer (Air Bomber) during World War II. A crew member of the Halifax JD410 aircraft, he was Killed in Action on September 6, 1943, when his aircraft went missing during an attack against Manheim, Germany.
