Paul Franklin Brawley, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, was the son of Edward and Lydia Brawley. He served in the # 101 Squadron (Mens Agitat Molem) of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II.
On September 20, 1942, aboard Wellington III # BJ689, his crew took off from RAF Stradishall on a target mission at Saarbrucken, Germany. Shot down by a night fighter piloted by Wilhelm Herget of II./NJG4 at 01h15, their aircraft crashed in Novion-Porcien - 12 km NNE Rethel, France. His 6-man crew members were all killed.
