Edward Henry Bakeman was born on March 11, 1911, in New York.
He served in the #12 (R.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. Taking off from the Wickenby airfield in England, on a mission to Spezia (Italy), Edward was Killed in Action on April 14, 1943, when his aircraft collided with Avro Lancaster W4828 piloted by F/Lt Lee-Brown of the 103 Squadron.
