Charles Louis Davis was born on September 9, 1922, in Storden, Cottonwood County, Minnesota, USA. He was the son of Guy Logan Davis and Eunice Lily Noffsinger Davis.
Charles served in Company B, 2nd Ranger Battalion, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944, at the age of 21, in Vierville-sur-Mer, during the American assault on Omaha beach in France. PFC Davis is now buried in the Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA.
