Willard Marlow was born on May 10, 1924, in Clinton, Anderson County, Tennessee. He was the son of Charlie Marlow and Grace Ventalee Cox Marlow.
Willard served in the 231st Armored Field Artillery Battalion, 6th Armored Division, as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He was one of the 75 soldiers killed during the liberation of Plabennec and Plouvien, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery, Montjoie Saint Martin, France.
