Russell Herbert Clement was born on November 13, 1920, in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. He was the son of Rufus Herbert Clement and Eunice Elizabeth Bass Clement.
Russell served in the 212th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, 6th Armored Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was one of the 75 soldiers killed during the liberation of Plabennec and Plouvien, France. He is now buried in the Harmony Cemetery, Faulkner County, Arkansas, USA.
