Ralph Edward Lake was born on February 11, 1913, in Braxton County, West Virginia. He was the son of William Edward Lake and Bessie Ora Wimer Lake.
Ralph served in the 69th Tank Battalion, 6th Armored Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action in Bretagne, France, on August 5, 1944, at the age of 31. He is now buried in the Knawls Creek Cemetery, Knawl, Braxton County, West Virginia, USA.
