Earnest Ray Carson was born on June 6, 1911, in Llano County, Texas. He was the son of Albert Samuel Carson and Amzy Ola Moore Carson. He was the husband of Clara Odell Jackson Carson.
Earnest served in the 44th Infantry Battalion, 6th Armored Division, as a Private during World War II. He was one of the 75 soldiers killed during the liberation of Plabennec and Plouvien, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery, Montjoie Saint Martin, France.
