Max Lebida was born on June 21, 1909, in Poland. He was the son of Joseph Lebida and Josephine Slosek Lebida. He served in the 50th Infantry Battalion, 6th Armored Division, as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. He was one of the 75 soldiers killed during the liberation of Plabennec and Plouvien, France. 2Lt Lebida is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery, Montjoie Saint Martin, France.
