Alvadis Taber, Jr. was born on August 19, 1925, in Michigan. He was the son of Alvadis V. Taber and Iva Mae Hardin Taber.

Alvadis served in Company A, 398th Infantry Regiment, 100th Infantry Division, during World War II. He was Killed in Action on January 9, 1945, by small arms fire in/near Rimling, France. He is now buried in the Fluorine Cemetery, Rosiclare, Hardin County, Illinois, USA.
