Thomas Higley was born in 1920 in Nebraska. He served in the 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He received a battlefield promotion to 2LT. Willie died on November 13, 1944 during the liberation of the town in Achain, France and is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Departement de la Moselle, Lorraine, France.
