Carl Lewis Crowther was born in 1922 in Mississippi. He was the son of Edgar Fulton Crowther and Ella Knott Crowther.
Carl served in the 10th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division, as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on January 28, 1945, during the liberation of Putscheid, Luxembourg. Cpl Crowther is now buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg.
