Casper Cassano was born on February 12, 1945, in Bucyrus Township, Crawford County, Ohio. He was the son of Vincenzo Cassano and Carmela Cassano.
Casper served in the 10th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on January 28, 1945, during the liberation of Putscheid, Luxembourg. PFC Cassano is now buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg.
