Arthur Calvin Griffin, Jr. was born on March 27, 1913, in Waycross, Ware County, Georgia. He was the son of Arthur Calvin Griffin and Angie Lena Eason Griffin.
Arthur Calvin, Jr. enlisted in the Army on May 5, 1941, and at the time of his death, was serving in the 51st Infantry Battalion, 4th Armored Division, as a Captain. He was killed in Pont-Scorff, France, on August 7, 1944, and is now buried in the Oakland Cemetery, Waycross, Ware County, Georgia, USA.
