Raymond Horner Runner was born on November 19, 1885, in Worthington, Indiana. He was the son of John Bernard Runner and Mary E. Runner.
Raymond served in the Aviation Corps as a Private during World War I. He was killed in an airplane accident in France on November 5, 1917, but his current burial place is unknown. Pvt Runner was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
