Robert H. Feldner was born on April 19, 1891, in Edwardsville, Illinois. He was the son of Henry Feldner and Fredericka Johanna Stolte Feldner.
Robert served in the 156th Infantry Regiment during World War I. He died of pneumonia in France on September 19, 1918, and is now buried in the Bartlett Cemetery, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, USA. Pvt Feldner was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
