Virgil L. Lawson was born on April 8, 1921. He was the son of Jacob Bronson Lawson and Sallie Peel Lawson.
Virgil served in the 314th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 27, 1944, at the age of 23, during the liberation of Vexin, France. PFC Lawson is now buried in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Jessamine County, Kentucky, USA.
