Cataldo Celano was born on October 30, 1907, in Italy. He resided in Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, and enlisted on February 16, 1945. Cataldo served in the 314th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 26, 1944, at the age of 36, during the liberation of Vexin, France. PFC Celano is now buried in the Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, Chemung County, New York, USA.
