Allie Jennings Oliver was born on September 30, 1909, in Shelby County, Texas. He was the son of George F. Oliver and Katie Lee Dorman Oliver. He attended Lamar College and received a law degree from the East Texas College of Law.
Allie served in the 120th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He died from his wounds received in combat on August 29, 1944, during the liberation of Vexin, France. He is now buried in the Fairview Cemetery, Center, Shelby County, Texas, USA.
