Harold Leon Gilbert was born on July 11, 1921. He was the son of Sherman Morris Gilbert and Lillian Bonnie McCue Gilbert.
Gilbert served in the 119th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 29, 1944, at the age of 23, during the liberation of Vexin, France. PFC Gilbert is now buried in the Floral Memorial Park, Selma, Fresno County, California, USA.
