Hamlin Woods was born on January 21, 1918. He served in the 315th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 28, 1944, at the age of 26, during the liberation of Vexin, France. Sgt Woods is now buried in the Woods Chapel United Methodist Cemetery, Ramsey, Harrison County, Indiana, USA.
