LaVergne K. Robinson was born on May 1, 1914. Before entering the service, he was employed by the Donaldson Transfer Co. of the North Side in Pittsburgh.
LaVergne resided in Alaska and enlisted on June 16, 1942. He served in the 315th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 28, 1944, at the age of 30, during the liberation of Vexin, France. He is now buried in the Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA.
