Theodore Frank “Teddy” Zlomke was born on December 8, 1919, in Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. He was the son of Frank Awald Zlomke.

Theodore served in the 314th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 28, 1944, during the liberation of Vexin, France, and is now buried in the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, USA. His name is commemorated on a monument located in Fontenay-Saint-Père, France, but his rank is inscribed as a Private.
