Allan M. Metzger was born on December 22, 1921, in Pennsylvania. He served in the 361st Fighter Squadron, 356th Fighter Group, as a First Lieutenant and Pilot of the P-47 #42-8509 during World War II.
Allan was Killed in Action on November 29, 1943, while on a mission to provide escort to bombers attacking at Bremen, Germany. His aircraft was shot down by German fighters and crashed at Wertle, Germany.
1Lt Metzger is now buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium.
