Casimir Franklin Krowiak was born on February 28, 1920, in Wayne, Wisconsin. He was the son of Anthony Krowiak and Mary Ofsienga Krowiak.

Casimir served in the 359th Fighter Squadron, 356th Fighter Group, as a Second Lieutenant and Fighter Pilot during World War II. He was flying the P-47 #42-76220 that took off from Martlesham Heath, England, on a bomber escort mission to Reims, France. 2Lt Krowiak started to attack enemy fighters and asked Lt Holtz to cover him, but both pilots were lost. 2Lt Krowiak's airplane was shot down by a Fighter plane around 6:30 PM and crashed 1,100 yards southeast of Rosay, seven miles east-northeast of Chateau-Thierry, France. His body was found badly charred under the wreckage.

2Lt Krowiak is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery, Dinozé, France.
