Milton Henry Huebner was born on July 11, 1922, in Sumner, Iowa. He was the son of Arthur H Huebner and Freda Sass Huebner. He was married to Margaret Jeanne Tremaine Henderson.
Milton was a graduate of Sumner high school and before enlisting in the Army Air Forces in November, 1942, he was employed by his father as a salesman. He was commissioned on February 8, 1944, at Selma, Ala., and his promotion to First Lieutenant came in October.
Milton served in the 360th Fighter Squadron, 356th Fighter Group, as a First Lieutenant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on December 25, 1944, in P-51 #44-15364. 1Lt Huebner's aircraft was last seen in a dog-fight with a large number of FW 190s in the vicinity of Bonn, Germany.
The body of 1Lt Huebner was later found in a civilian cemetery at Bonn and was removed to the U. S. Military Cemetery in Belgium. His final resting place is in the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
