Stanley N. Millholen was born on February 21, 1923, in Nebraska. He was the son of Charles L Millholen and Myrtle Olive Ellis Millholen.
Stanley served in the 849th Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He was killed on March 12, 1944, a few minutes after taking off at the Mountain Home Army Air Base at Idaho, aboard B-24E #42-7239.
The other crew members who perished were Harold J Phillips, Cecil M Morris, John H Suttle, and Richard C. Buttler.
SSgt Millholen is now buried in the Lakeside Cemetery, Loveland, Larimer County, Colorado, USA.
