Ronald A. Cargill was born on June 19, 1924. He was the son of Gladys Lillian Cargill. He served in the 851st Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Co-Pilot of a B17 during World War II.
Ronald was killed on February 25, 1945, in a bombing raid over Germany. Flying over Munich, a tiny piece of flak hit him in the neck and killed him instantly. It was his 11th mission.
2Lt Cargill is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint-Avold, France.
