Frans Josef R. Weik was born on April 30, 1925. He served in the 406th Bomber Squadron, 801st Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Sergeant and Ball Turret Gunner on the B-24 #42-52650 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on January 3, 1945, in the takeoff crash of his airplane. It crashed in the village on Aston Clinton in England, killing all aboard. Sgt Weik is now buried in the Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA.
