Clarence J. Ducote was born on August 15, 1908. He was the son of Louis Adelma Ducote and Maria Fortune Callegari Ducote. He was married to Helen Haas Ducote.

Clarence served in the 66th Bomber Squadron, 44th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Staff Sergeant and Tail Gunner of the B-24 #41-23771 during World War II. On January 3, 1943, their plane crashed near the crossroads south of Little Newcastle, returning from a mission to U-Boat yards (submarine) at St. Nazaire, France. Fuel shortage caused the crash. SSgt Ducote was wounded and hospitalized until January 6.

His last service was in the 4103 Base Unit. He died on June 7, 1963, at the age of 54, and is now buried in the Saint Mary's Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Cottonport, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana, USA.
