William M. Sherrill, Jr. was born on July 15, 1919. he served in the 788th Bomber Squadron, 467th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Navigator on the B24 #42-50439 'Broad and High' during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 14, 1944, when his airplane crashlanded at Kirby Bedon, England, from a bombing mission to an aero-engine factory at Woippy, France. 2Lt Sherrill is now buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
