Robert L. McFetrick was born in 1918. He was the son of Frank Dallas McFetrich and Margaretta Evans McFetrich.

Robert served in the 328th Bomber Squadron, 93rd Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Pilot of the B24H #41-28590 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on March 29, 1944, when his airplane collided with the B24J #42-110033 and crashed into Henham, England, while leaving for a raid over Germany. 2Lt McFetrich is now buried in the Champion Center Cemetery, Champion, Trumbull County, Ohio, USA. His name is commemorated on a plaque located in Henham Park, England, but his surname is spelled 'McFetrick.'
