William F. Weck was born on August 5, 1921, in Iowa. He was the son of Joseph James Weck and Stella A. Weck.

William served in the 853rd Bomber Squadron, 491st Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Bombardier on the B-24 #42-95191 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 20, 1944, when his airplane took a direct hit from an 88mm shell which blew away most of the nose section. 2Lt Weck is now buried in the Glen Haven Memorial Park, Sylmar, Los Angeles County, California, USA.
